Questions runners ask before joining

Straight answers on validation, payments, weekly resets, and leaderboard rules.

Competition format

How much does it cost to enter?

Entry is GBP 5 per week, per runner.

How many runners can join each week?

Each weekly competition is capped at 100 paid entries.

How are winners decided?

Leaderboards rank runners by the lowest valid Strava moving time for a 5K run in that week.

What are the payouts?

Fixed weekly payouts: 1st GBP 100, 2nd GBP 50, 3rd GBP 25.

Run validation

What kind of run is eligible?

The run must be Strava activity type Run, between 4.95km and 5.05km, outdoor, non-manual, and started in Greater London.

Are treadmill runs allowed?

No. Trainer or treadmill activities are excluded.

Do manual entries count?

No. Manual activities are excluded from leaderboard and payout logic.

Can disqualified runs still appear in my account?

Yes. Disqualified runs stay visible in your run history for transparency, but they do not count toward rankings.

Accounts, payments, and weekly reset

Does payment repeat automatically every week?

No. Entry is weekly. You choose each week whether to enter and pay.

Does the leaderboard reset each week?

Yes. Every new week starts a fresh competition leaderboard, while archive results remain available.

Are my historical stats kept?

Yes. Your dashboard retains run and performance history across weeks.

Can I sign in with Strava only?

Yes. You can use the Strava sign-in flow for account creation and login.

How do I disconnect Strava and delete Strava data?

Use the disconnect action in your dashboard, or revoke access in Strava settings. See the Privacy Policy for deletion request details.
